Today (3/6) was a particularly dynamic day in and out of the studio. The group spent the morning creating art presentations, which they then delivered and discussed during the afternoon session. Students also had time to complete previous art projects. The capstone event of the day was an emulation project based on the work of Jackson Pollock. Students dripped and drizzled paint on three huge canvases, recreating 'action paintings' first introduced by Jackson Pollock. Student blog entry: (Leanna C.) Today we worked on a massive art project where we took different colored paints and used paint brushes and sticks to splatter onto a large piece of paper. Even though it was freezing outside it was still fun. I'm not used to making a mess on purpose, so I think it was an exciting change for me. Comments are closed.
